Short-Term Running Goals:

Okay, so for 2013 I am going to have FUN! Not that running isn't always fun, but I had a wonderful breakthrough year last year and I want to play this year :) AND get faster! So, my first goal I'm going to put out there is my yearly mileage goal.
It is 2,186 miles from my driveway to my sister (QP's) driveway! I want to spend this year on a virtual trek cross country running those miles. So, that is how far I will run in 2013...from my house to QPs. It will take all year and yes, this is measured on Hwys so it isn't really exactly how I COULD run it, but good enough. 43 miles/week...totally doable, and a fun goal to track how far I've traveled as I go along. Who knows...maybe I'll even run PAST her house :)

I will do more trail runs, Boston, Pacing duties, another Half IM and some other tris. I'm excited for this next year and look forward to having fun with all of you out on the roads, and trails! Maybe bag a few peaks this year too!!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Big Dreams: 5K in 20:2X; 10K in 39:XX; Half in 1:29:XX; Full in 3:15:XX; complete the Rim2Rim2Rim run and not die; Comrades; Iron(wo)Man.

Run for the rest of my life!

Personal:

4 children: twelve, eight, five and baby Fartlek - 2 1/2. Wonderful supportive husband that lets me drag him and the family all over for race after race!

Finished 13 marathons and LOVE running that distance! I'm definitely hooked to the marathon monster and hope to constantly improve my endurance, speed and stay injury free!

I've also found a love of trail running! I hope to keep improving on this front.

After being injured with a broken foot at the first of 2012 I found a tri group and started training with them and am now loving tris! The half IM was harder than I'd ever imagined...and am ready to do it again. I'll earn my bike butt and someday have enough time to train for a full IM.

Met the BBK's this morning. When I got the email yesterday a certain word caught my attention: TRACK. I've been wanting to go to group for about a month now, but didn't want to have to run hard to keep up or be alone. When I saw track workout, I knew I could have my cake and eat it too! I could get my running friend fix before baby, I could walk or run as slow as needed for the hour and still see everyone and chat. So, I made the effort to get up and go this morning. It was SO worth it!

With only a week left, I think most were a little surprised to see me :) I ran the first 2 non stop with Nancy, then we did a walk 1 lap, run 2 until she needed to leave. After checking what time it was (the group had gone to the road for a tempo after their 800's), I came back did another full mile and then the last one was just picking up a lap or two here and there with people running their last 'cool down' laps. I was happy to get out with good running friends and have a beautiful run in the sunrise! It was perfect! Thanks all who entertained me during my shuffle today :)

No pace, left the garmin at home. I'd think it was close to a 10mm though.

Now to kick the kids out of the house and I'll go to the gym and get some elliptical/reading time in and then off to the doctor's. Crossing my fingers it's a go that this really will be my last appointment and I'll be induced next Tuesday if I don't go on my own by then.

***Well, it's official. Only one more week pregnant, if that. I got the final nod for induction next Tuesday, so if I'm still pregnant then and they have room for me at the hospital I will have the baby in one week. Excited to be done, but nervous/anxious about all the work and sleepless nights and TINY little being to take care of. Guess I should've thought about that a few months ago :) ***

You really are amazing and lucky to be able to work out so long being pregnant! Good job!

Yo Ms. RAD, I really enjoyed myself at the UVM saturday. It was a great day for me. Thanks for being a part of my training this cycle. Lets start getting ready for SGM....but first you neeed to pop out that little boy.

Nice running fix this morning. Good luck with the doctor appointment.

KP, nah - not really, just certifiable :)

Merri, I am lucky! I now simply wish that I could do SOMETHING that would make labor start. No amount of bouncing/running is going to help at this point.

Slick, I will see you soon w/out the little 'tag along' :) I think I am going to miss my running partner though.

Carolyn, it was good - nice and easy NO pressure!

It is sooo cool that you are still getting out and running/working out this far into your pregnancy. So cool! Good luck in the next week.

YEAH-----one more week and you do not even look pregnant!

From RAD on Tue, Jun 15, 2010 at 20:27:37 from 67.172.229.125

Britta, THANKS! I hope things are well in CA and that we get to see a bit of you this summer.

Scott, cool/crazy - Hey, it's all the same to us runners! :)

Kelli, I was 'admiring' my shadow this morning as we'd round the track and thought about how horribly silly I must look! A hippo shuffling along at a snails pace, trying to look fit and normal...hmmm, maybe I shouldn't run in public anymore :)

I can relate to the hippo shuffling along at a snails pace trying to look fit and normal. Funny way to describe it! I am glad you were able to run with friends and that you have an induction date. I hope this next week goes really fast for you.

Good luck with the baby.
