Short-Term Running Goals:

Okay, so for 2013 I am going to have FUN! Not that running isn't always fun, but I had a wonderful breakthrough year last year and I want to play this year :) AND get faster! So, my first goal I'm going to put out there is my yearly mileage goal.
It is 2,186 miles from my driveway to my sister (QP's) driveway! I want to spend this year on a virtual trek cross country running those miles. So, that is how far I will run in 2013...from my house to QPs. It will take all year and yes, this is measured on Hwys so it isn't really exactly how I COULD run it, but good enough. 43 miles/week...totally doable, and a fun goal to track how far I've traveled as I go along. Who knows...maybe I'll even run PAST her house :)

I will do more trail runs, Boston, Pacing duties, another Half IM and some other tris. I'm excited for this next year and look forward to having fun with all of you out on the roads, and trails! Maybe bag a few peaks this year too!!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Big Dreams: 5K in 20:2X; 10K in 39:XX; Half in 1:29:XX; Full in 3:15:XX; complete the Rim2Rim2Rim run and not die; Comrades; Iron(wo)Man.

Run for the rest of my life!

Personal:

4 children: twelve, eight, five and baby Fartlek - 2 1/2. Wonderful supportive husband that lets me drag him and the family all over for race after race!

Finished 13 marathons and LOVE running that distance! I'm definitely hooked to the marathon monster and hope to constantly improve my endurance, speed and stay injury free!

I've also found a love of trail running! I hope to keep improving on this front.

After being injured with a broken foot at the first of 2012 I found a tri group and started training with them and am now loving tris! The half IM was harder than I'd ever imagined...and am ready to do it again. I'll earn my bike butt and someday have enough time to train for a full IM.

Another crazy busy day...life doesn't slow down for anything, even having a baby!

Up at the crack of dawn, but no running for me. I got to sit in front of the school for 90 minutes waiting to do track change...yyeeaaaa (insert sarcasm).

Didn't get full gym time, because of having to get home for 'work' and getting stopped on the way to the gym by primary stuff I had to deal with....yyeeeeaaa (more sarcasm)

45 min on the TM @ 10% grade at 3.2 mph...I think 2.3 total miles. Rushed home for 'work' and I was still late, thanks clocks at the gym for being 15 minutes slow instead of the normal 5 today....yyeeeaaa

Now I get to entertain 'work' all day and then try to get SOMETHING done around the house *sigh* I really would like just one day to sit and breathe....and maybe get ready for baby coming in two weeks!

see... this is why i'm not having kids for a LONG time. i like my 'me time' too much. i babysit a lot. that way i get my fill of kiddos and when they get tired and cranky and whiney it's about time for mommy and daddy to come home from the date they were on.

are you getting induced a certain date?

From KP on Mon, Jun 07, 2010 at 14:08:00 from 65.208.22.26

HAHA! i need one of those, allie. unfortunately, i think it would get used a bit too often.

You need to tell everyone that you're off duty for the next several weeks.

From RAD on Mon, Jun 07, 2010 at 18:03:46 from 67.172.229.125

allie, lol! yes, yes, I do need one!

KP, doc will induce me on 6/22 (2 weeks tomorrow) if all stars align...

yes, it would be nice sometimes to put the dolls away. My 2 days in the hospital doing NOTHING, but doting on my sweet new little one will be sheer JOY!! :)

Carolyn, oh how I wish I could!! You know how it goes, the ones you can't tell to take a hike (your family) are the ones that are taking up all the time. We have SO many doctor's apts set up I think I should use the co-pay money to start a college fund for me to simply go to medical school!! It might be cheaper.

Do you have to keep working even when have your baby? At least you will slow down when you are in the hospital with your new baby.

Devine Miss M - keeping after you, cross trianing workouts count big time, nothing to noggle at. Nice effort getting something in.

Isn't there a place on this blog to insert time logged being frustrated and stressed out?

I'm looking forward to you having your two days of rest. I swear if I find out you've snuck into the physical therapy room to do a workout in the middle of the night at the hospital, I'm going to have you committed.

Soon you will be a proud parent....again. I hope you can get some down time soon.

Soon enough!

From RAD on Wed, Jun 09, 2010 at 01:52:36 from 67.172.229.125

Nancy, my work is really just glorified baby-sitting. It's not hard and the kids hang out with my family/kids. I just have to 'entertain' them, it's not like my kids that I can throw in chuck-a-child and go to the gym :)

Brent, I think I'm finally on the big wind-down...we'll see.

QP, hmmm...GREAT idea :) I'm not sure if I'll sneak into the PT office, but when I walk fartlek down to the nursery I might take the 'long' way :)

MrsFIT, thanks! Two weeks will go a lot faster for you guys than it will for me I'm sure!

Dale, I know the down time will come - I'm just managing the stress right now :)

Toby, oh too soon I think some days!
